Great Loop adventure our arrival in MOBILE ALABAMA

It took 39 days from Kentucky Dam Marina to Mobile Alabama.
We had a couple of rough days, many cold days and lots of good meals.
We have met and made many new friends.

Let me begin this blog session with a little reminiscing about out trip so far.

Proud Lady is a 41 foot Litton trawler

Trawlers typically travel at about  9 - 10  miles per hour that equates to 7.5 to 8 knots.
She has 2 diesel engines.
Plenty of room for living comfortable with a large salon and captain quarters a v-berth with 2 bunks and 2 heads.

I can honestly say...

for all the days that I cooked meals on board I never used my crock pot, we have never gone hungry, there has been plenty of food available.

Menus:

Ozark succotash, the one like you get in Branson Missourri
Hamburgers
Beans and cornbread
Spaghetti Squash with meat sauce
Meatloaf
Salmon cakes
You know just like home.

But sometimes with lots of friends

Docktails and potluck supper.

The Scenery down the Tennessee, Ten Tom and the Black warrior was awesome!

Unusual sights like pigs crossing, Our first pelican, bridges that raise to let us through.
Then on November 7th we seen for the first time The Dolly Parton Bridge
see picture below.
This is the bridge we anchored near on November 7th
